These words from the great American poet Ralph Waldo Emerson perfectly describe what we try to do every day at Roy & Casper, LLC.  With a practice focused on real estate and property, we assist clients with purchases and sales of real property and with estate planning to pass on the real and personal property at death.  We listen to our clients concerns with a compassionate ear and ask all of the “what if” questions for each transaction, for each document prepared.

That’s our core work, but what our attorneys Roger Roy and Juliet Casper do outside of work hours is what makes the real difference in our community.  Both attorneys serve on the board of Sea Haven, Inc., Sea Haven, Inc , a local nonprofit that assists at risk, troubled and homeless your ages 13-21 years old.  As board members, they raise awareness for the organization and raise money to run the Crisis Center in Little River and Outreach facility in Myrtle Beach. 

 Attorney Roger Roy has served for many years on the board for the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation, Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation .  The Foundation was established in 2000, and has donated over $2.9 million to over 200 charitable causes.  The majority of the funding for the Foundation comes from the Monday after the Masters, a celebrity pro-am golf tournament which since 2002 has been held at the Dye Course at Barefoot in North Myrtle Beach. 

 In 2019, Attorney Juliet Casper was appointed by governor’s McMaster to the Foster Care Review Board for Horry County.  The mission of the board is to provide external accountability for the foster care system and to advocate on behalf of children in foster care.  The goal is to insure that each child has a safe, permanent home.  Prior to this appointment, Attorney Casper worked for many years as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for youth charged with criminal offenses.  She found that often these youth were in trouble with the law because of their family situations.  Parents were neglectful, abusive, or addicted to drugs.  The families needed services and sadly the youth’s criminal charge provided a way for services to be ordered.

Through volunteer service, Roy & Casper, LLC is making a difference in the lives of youth in our community.
